Performing the: A Step-by-Step Tutorial Sphinx

  • Position your elbows under your shoulders with your forearms and palms flat on the ground, parallel to each other.
  • Inhale and slowly lift your upper body off the floor by straightening your arms, keeping your hips and thighs in contact with the floor.
  • Hold this position, known as the Sphinx pose, for a few breaths, making sure to keep your neck in line with your spine and not to strain it by looking up too much.
  • Exhale and slowly lower your upper body back to the floor, returning to the starting position.
